Jason Giles is a member of the firm’s
Business, Finance, and Real Estate Department and practices in the area of corporate and partnership law (organization, operation, and planning), regulatory law (financial institutions and insurance), commercial law (secured loans, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital and general contracting), securities law (public and private securities offering, public company reporting and compliance), and intellectual property law (trademarks, copyrights, intellectual property and IT licensing). Prior to joining Nyemaster Goode, Jason clerked for a federal district court judge in Des Moines, Iowa.
In addition to his continued membership on the Law Day Committee for the Polk County Bar Association and the Legal Forms Committee for the Iowa State Bar Association, Jason is very active in the community in both youth and scouting programs, having served in various positions of scout leadership for the Boy Scouts of America, most recently as the Troop Representative for his local BSA scout troop. Jason is also very active with his church, serving a full-time two-year mission to Ecuador as a young man and currently serving as an ecclesiastical leader. Jason is a member of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute CLP Class of 2008-09.
Jason received his B.A. cum laude from Utah State University, and his M.B.A. and J.D. with highest honors from Drake University, where he also received the Public Service Certificate and was an Opperman Scholar.
