Patrick White is a member of Nyemaster Goode’s
Litigation Department and is a shareholder of the firm. His commercial litigation and general complex litigation practices include trust litigation, contract and business tort claims, and derivative and other shareholder suits.
Patrick’s contract and business tort litigation experience includes claims in a variety of commercial contexts, including small corporation and partnership disputes, financing arrangements, product sales agreements, and insurance and annuity agreements.
Patrick graduated from Drake University with a major in finance (corporate), and graduated Order of the Coif and with highest honors from Drake University Law School.

In the Matter of the Estate and Trust of Fischer, Case No. CVCV 025863 (Iowa Dist. Ct. Nov. 20, 2009). Obtained dismissal of beneficiaries' claims against the trustee.
Hanifen v. Hanifen, Case No. CL 109217 (Iowa Dist. Ct. Dec. 5, 2008). Obtained dismissal of Plaintiff's shareholder derivative claims.
In the Matter of the Clyde A. Peck Family Trust, Case No. TRPR 019288 (Iowa Dist. Ct. Dec. 22, 2008). Obtained dismissal of beneficiaries' claims for breach of duty against the trustee.
Trinh v. Country Mutual Ins. Co., No. LACL 103427 (Iowa Dist. Ct. Feb. 14, 2008). Obtained a jury verdict in favor of defendant with respect to plaintiffs' claims of breach of contract.
McGinnis v. The Iowa Clinic, No. EQCE 52850 (Iowa Dist. Ct. August 8, 2007). Obtained dismissal of plaintiffs' shareholder derivative claims and obtained summary judgment on plaintiffs' direct shareholder claims for breach of fiduciary duty.
S.K. Thielking v. MacLean, et al., No. LACL 98837 (Iowa Dist. Ct. Oct. 24, 2006). Obtained summary judgment on behalf of defendants with respect to plaintiffs’ claims of fraud and breach of contract.
Laurenzo Jones, LC v. Kristin Siberz, et al., No. LACL 95508 (Iowa Dist Ct. Sept. 15, 2005). Obtained a jury verdict in favor of defendant with respect to plaintiff’s claim of breach of contract.
Denner v. Deere & Co., 148 Fed. Appx. 571 (8th Cir. 2005). The Eighth Circuit affirmed the Northern District of Iowa’s grant of summary judgment in favor of defendant with respect to plaintiff’s claim of promissory estoppel.
