Coreen K. Sweeney

Coreen Sweeney is a shareholder and member of the firm’s Litigation Department, handling both general litigation and workers' compensation matters. Coreen has practiced in the areas of workers’ compensation and insurance defense litigation since 1991.  Coreen also assists parties acting as a mediator, primarily in workers' compensation matters.

Coreen has actively participated in professional organizations for workers’ compensation attorneys in the State of Iowa. She has been a member of Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Attorneys since 1996, currently serving on its Board of Governors as Past President (October 2007 – September 2008 term). She served as Co-Chair for the Iowa Self-Insurers Association seminar (2009-2012). She has also served a two-year term as Co-Chair for the Iowa Workers' Compensation Advisory Committee Symposium in 2003-2004 and as Co-Chair for the IAWC seminars in 1999 and 2000. Coreen has been a member of the Iowa Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Legislation Section.

Coreen also belongs to the Polk County and Iowa State Bar Associations, as well as the Iowa Defense Counsel, Iowa Self-Insured Association, and Iowa Workers' Compensation Lawyers, Inc.
