Eric J. Eide

Eric is a shareholder in the firm's Business, Finance, and Real Estate Department and Tax, Estate, Planning, and Employee Benefits Department.  His practice focuses primarily on contract drafting and negotiation, residential and commercial real estate transactions including leases and easements, and wills, trusts, and estate planning and administration. Eric regularly advises and represents clients on issues related to municipal law and private and public drainage district law.  He also has experience with the special legal needs and requirements of agricultural cooperatives, including formation, operations, mergers, and contracts, and with advising cooperatives boards of directors.

Prior to joining the firm, Eric was a solo practitioner in Fort Dodge.  He began his legal career as a staff attorney at the U.S.D.A. Office of General Counsel.  He currently serves as a lecturer for the Iowa Institute of Cooperatives' Director Certification Program.
