Keith P. Duffy

Keith’s litigation practice includes the defense of claims of bad faith related to the handling of workers compensation claims.  Keith has represented insurance carriers, employers, and administrators who have been accused of bad faith denial of benefits in state and federal court, and has also represented clients before the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commissioner.  His practice also includes the defense of uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims, other personal injury claims, and commercial litigation. 

Keith also represents clients in creditor rights and bankruptcy disputes involving the collection of a variety of secured and unsecured debts, including the collection of non-consumer civil judgments.  Keith taught Bankruptcy and Debt Collection as an adjunct instructor at Drake University Law School in the Spring of 2018. 

Prior to joining the firm, Keith served as a law clerk to Justice Bruce Zager of the Iowa Supreme Court and the Hon. James E. Gritzner, Chief Judge of the Southern District of Iowa. Keith earned his law degree with highest honors from Drake University Law School and was elected to the Order of the Coif, along with serving as the Research Editor of the Drake Law Review, and participating in Drake’s National Moot Court team. While at Drake, Keith also served as a research assistant to Professor Neil Hamilton and earned the Food and Agricultural Law Certificate.
