Leslie C. Behaunek

Leslie Behaunek is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department with an emphasis in appellate advocacy.  Before joining the firm, Leslie served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jane Kelly on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Honorable James E. Gritzner on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.  Leslie was elected to the Order of the Coif and graduated with highest honors from Drake University Law School, where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team and President of the Moot Court Board.  While at Drake, Leslie worked as a student intern in the State Appellate Defender’s Office, where she successfully argued an appeal before the Iowa Supreme Court.  Leslie graduated summa cum laude and with honors in political science and philosophy from Cornell College.
