ABOTA selects Frank Harty

DES MOINES – Attorney Frank Harty, shareholder with Nyemaster Goode PC, has been selected for membership to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

ABOTA, established in 1957, is a select group of trial attorneys who have demonstrated experience and expertise in presenting court cases. The general purposes of ABOTA is to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the general public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.

In more than 25 years of practice, Mr. Harty has served as first chair in more than 50 jury trials in matters relating to sex discrimination, litigating wrongful discharge cases and enforcing employment agreements.

Frank is recognized as a Leading Individual Labor and Employment Lawyer in Iowa by Chambers and Partners and is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America. Frank is a fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers; a member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, the Iowa Defense Counsel Association and the Employment Law Alliance. He has taught trial advocacy and employment law at the Drake University Law School. Frank is Past Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Iowa State Bar Association, and currently serves as the Chair of the Labor and Employment Practice Group with Nyemaster Goode.
