A gift of honor was bestowed upon Nyemaster Goode on Friday, Nov. 18, when Iowa National Guard Staff Sargent Doug Stanger presented the firm with the flag that flew over his unit's Combat Outpost in Afghanistan.

Stanger returned home this summer after a one-year deployment with the 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry Regiment. He presented the flag to the firm in appreciation of Nyemaster Goode's support of the troops and specifically of himself and his wife, Major Kristina Stanger, a litigation associate with the firm and also a member of the Iowa National Guard.

Michael Thrall, chairman of Nyemaster Goode, expressed the firm's appreciation for the Stangers' contribution and commitment to our Country and in honor of all of America's serving families, and announced that the firm had made a contribution to a college scholarship fund for Caydence Justice, whose father, Staff Sargent James "Juice" Justice, was a member of Stanger's unit and made the ultimate sacrifice during this tour of duty. To those who serve and sacrifice for our freedoms, we are grateful.
